Npower Championship Outright Winner – best odds

The battle for automatic promotion to the promised land of the Barclays Premier League looks like it could be one the toughest to date, we bring you the very latest odds on the battle to become outright winner of the Npower Championship.

QPR are the bookies’ favourites to win the Championship. Some fans might have been disappointed that Harry Rednapp hasn’t splashed the cash this summer; his signings have been modest, but they should still have enough to be considered serious contenders.

Gianfranco Zola’s Watford played some of the best football in the division last season and as a result expectations for the current campaign are high. Watford could be a good bet for the title.

Nottingham Forest are the early season pacesetters in the Npower Championship. Billy Davis knows the division inside out and after making some shrewd signings in the summer, Forest are hoping to go at least one better than last season and at the very least make it to the play-offs at Wembley.

Relegated from the Barclays Premier League last season, Reading will be hoping to make a speedy return under Nigel Adkins, but injuries and a lack of summer signings mean that a play-off place look like the Royals best bet.

Wigan Athletic are definitely ones to watch, given they have so far retained most of last season’s Premier League squad, much will depend on Owen Coyle retaining his key men. A play-off place looks like the best hope for Wigan.
