After just a couple of games the top two places in the Premier League are looking all too familiar, with Chelsea and Arsenal riding high, but the alarm bells are ringing at Wigan who’ve shipped 10 goals already; Roberto Martinez looks to be in for a real dog-fight of a season having already seen his team lose 4-0 on the opening day of the campaign against newly promoted Blackpool, but there was worse to come for ‘Latics fans as Chelsea thrashed Wigan 6-0 at DW stadium. As for Blackpool, despite getting off to a flying start they went down losing heavily to Arsenal when being on the wrong end of a demoralising 6-0 pasting at the Emirates stadium. Newly promoted West Brom were hamered by Chelsea on the opening day of the new campaign when they lost 6-0 to Chelsea, but they had a good 1-0 win at home against Sunderland.
The bookmakers currently have Blackpool down as the favourites to be relegated along with Wigan and West Brom.
